Congratulations to
Viewers' Choice Winner, Becky Fielder!

Dinner Plate Dahlia

Foundation paper piecing is one of my favourite techniques. Every now and again, I enjoy completing a large project that relies on FPP. Quilted by Pat Donovan of Guelph, ON. The pattern is Dinner Plate Dahlia by

99" x 99"

Now that our 2023 Quilt Exhibit is over, it’s time to reflect on the success of our first Quilt Exhibit in 4 years. We heard from so many visitors how much they enjoyed viewing the wonderful quilts, sipping tea in the Tea Room (in its new location), snapping up the bargains in the fabulous Boutique and having fun at the charming Small Quilt Draw. None of this would have been possible without the efforts of all our energetic and hard working volunteers.

If you contributed quilts for the display, created quilted items for the Boutique or small quilt draw, served tea and squares or washed dishes in the Tea Room, volunteered your time and energy in other ways during Friday and Saturday, or helped with set up or take down of the exhibit, etc, you had a vital role in making the exhibit a big success. There may have been some sore or tired muscles after washing and cleaning PVC pipes, loading and unloading trailers full of rack materials, climbing ladders and hanging quilts, but I think we can all agree that it was worth the effort.

A special thank you goes out to the Quilt Exhibit Committee members who attended meetings and worked for many hours ahead of the exhibit doing advertising, planning and designing the various components that made up the exhibit, working on the finances, organizing paperwork and so on. Thank you!
