2009 Raffle Quilt Winners

The lucky winners of the two raffle quilts are Barb Boyes and Moira Gibson! Both winners are associated with Hospice of Waterloo. We are so pleased they were the winners.

This year, 2009, the proceeds are going to Hospice of Waterloo Region (www.hospicewaterloo.ca).

The project was coordinated by Bev Bechthold. Fabric kits with directions were handed out at the April Guild meetings. Due to the success of our charity quilt for the 2008 Mennonite Relief Sale, the Quilt Show Committee asked for and received QUILTED BLOCKS for both the body of the quilt as well as the log cabin border.

The background fabric was from Heart ‘N Home Creations Inc., New Hamburg and the large print for the block borders was from the Quilt Place in Shakespeare. Our merchants have generously supported the guild’s charitable efforts, so please help us support them.
