Newsletter Advertising
Advertisements for the WCQG newsletter, which is now posted online, are accepted at the discretion of the guild
executive. Content must be quilt-related.
Published nine times a year, our newsletter, Scraps of Wisdom, is circulated to over 300 local quilters, and approximately 20 other quilt guilds. For the website the newsletter is printed in
colour, in 8.5" x 11" format.
Rates ($CDN)
- Business card $10
- Quarter page $25
- Half-page ad $50
- Full page ad $100
- Full page insert $100*
*If the insert increases the mailing cost, the additional cost will be billed to the advertiser.
Payments
Payment is due upon publication, by cheque made payable to Waterloo County Quilters Guild.
Please mail to our guild post office box.
Deadlines
Deadlines for submission of advertisements and articles is normally the 4th Wednesday of the preceding month (e.g. 4th Wednesday of August for the September
newsletter), except, due to the Christmas timetable, the deadline for the January newsletter is the 2nd Wednesday of December. There is no newsletter for December, July or August.
Submissions
We do not provide artwork or design services. Your advertisement must be one of the following:
- Camera-ready JPEG or BMP file, or
- Text file, plus logo or other graphic as a JPEG or BMP file, or
- Hardcopy of your text – we can scan your logo, but quality of
the image cannot be guaranteed.
